Juventus insist on Zaniolo as priority summer signing

Juventus have put Nicolo Zaniolo on top of their shopping list in the upcoming summer window.

The Bianconeri are intent on rejuvenating their roster and consider the 22-year-old attacker a good addition to play alongside Dušan Vlahović.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Agnelli’s club are thinking of formulating an offer based on an initial loan with obligation to buy, similar to the one that enabled the signing of Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.

Roma are famously asking for a minimum of €80 million for Zaniolo.

The capital club will not lower their demands to strengthen a direct rival.

General Manager Tiago Pinto is yet to meet with the player’s agent to discuss a potential renewal.

For the moment, the club are in no hurry given that Zaniolo’s current contract expires in 2024.
