Juve’s Leonardo Bonucci “intrigued” by Dybala joining Roma

Andy Mattioli

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci is reportedly curious to see former teammate Paulo Dybala play in the Italian capital.

The Italian centre-back discussed Dybala’s decision to join Roma as a free agent as well as Nicolò Zaniolo rumors linking him with a move to the Bianconeri.

“Dybala at Roma intrigues me because Roma is not an easy place,” he told Tuttosport.

“Paulo has the qualities to become the symbol of a team that has recently won a European trophy.”

“Roma, on the other hand, are in state of limbo between a having potentially a great season and the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League.”

On Zaniolo, Bonucci commented, “I can say that he is a great talent: he still doesn’t know the enormous potential he has.”

“He has yet to know himself all the way, he had everything right away and he has to figure out how to handle this huge pressure.”

“Football qualities are not enough play for Juventus. If he stays at Roma he will have the opportunity to play with Dybala, if he decides to come to Juve we will try to make him feel at home.”
