Juve’s Marotta: “Talks for Schick never re-opened.”

Ahead of Juve’s match against Genoa, Juve director Beppe Marotta conceded defeat in the race for Patrik Schick when speaking to Premium Sport. Here are his words:

“Schick? It was only a coincidence that I ran into and spoke with Sampdoria’s Romei yesterday. We also spoke about Schick, but we admire a good talent and regret it ended this way. After the medical, we proposed a loan for €8 million that would’ve taken €30 million into their accounts. As far as we were concerned, the negotiations ended there and never re-opened.”
