Juve’s Nicolo Fagioli agrees to 7-month ban over illegal betting allegations

Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli has reached an agreement as the first player to be punished over illegal betting allegations.

Fagioli – who reported himself to the authorities, admitting guilt over the recent allegations aimed at him for being involved in illegal betting practices.

The Juventus player is the first name on a long list of individuals in Serie A and beyond to have been involved in illegal betting practices.

According to Sky Sport, the Prosecutor’s office has decided to shorten the initial ban due to Fagioli’s collaboration with the authorities – the midfielder is now expected be out of action for seven months.
