One of the names linked as a potential reinforcement for Roma from the Premier League is that of Kalvin Phillips.

The English midfielder is in fact being linked with the Italian capital club after failing to make the Euros with England.

As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Phillips is looking to exit Manchester City in this window and his agents have offered him, among others, to Roma.

The capital club, however, are not too enthusiastic about Pillips’ signing.

Roma are on the look-out for strong, athletic midfielders with goal-scoring abilities and Phillips seems far from that at this current moment.

The news portal suggests Roma boss Daniele De Rossi is skeptical with regards to the player’s fitness levels.

Phillips’ recent loan at West Ham did not go as intended as the player failed to make a positive impression.

Thus, Roma seem unlikely to move forward with a deal for the English international.
