Karsdorp enduring difficulties at Feyenoord

Right back Rick Karsdorp, who returned to Feyenoord on loan from Roma this summer, is enduring a difficult reunion with the Dutch club. The defender was the target of insults following his side’s Europa League defeat to Scottish outfit Rangers.

Karsdorp spoke to Voetbal.nl following the loss, “I understand the disappointment of the fans and when they point their finger at me. The yelling, the gestures, the middle fingers and so on: everything is fine, but I’ll talk to you after the match. It’s pathetic when these guys write me or my family behind their phones. Come say it to my face and leave my family alone. I enjoy playing for this club and shirt but this has really affected me”.
