Karsdorp enters the final stretch, return is near

John Solano

Il Corriere dello Sport have reported this morning that Roma right back Rick Karsdorp, who has been out due to injury since 27 October, is entering the final phase of his rehabilitation from a torn ACL.

The Dutchman recently started working with the ball at his feet and is ready for the final stretch before returning. Karsdorp could be at the disposal of Di Francesco within a month, however, Roma’s doctors are being extremely careful. Karsdorp has suffered two knee injuries since the summer so the Giallorossi’s medical staff is taking a conservative approach: in the next few days, the player will fly to Hamburg to visit a specialised clinic for an examination. If all goes well, Karsdorp will begin his last phase of recovery and could be available to Roma for the most crucial part of the season.
