Roma and Genoa had a deal in place for the transfer of fullback Rick Karsdorp, but the Dutch defender has refused to join Il Grifone.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Karsdorp, for the moment, prefers to stay in the Italian capital rather than transfer to the Ligurian club, who recently appointed Rolando Maran as their new manager.
Reportedly, Karsdorp wants to see if he can win back his place under Paulo Fonseca after having spent last season on loan with Feyenoord.
Because of the player’s refusal to leave, the Roma’s deal for Juventus fullback Mattia De Sciglio is now on standby.
