Rick Karsdorp is expected to part ways with Roma in the upcoming January transfer window.
Following his falling out with Jose Mourinho, the Dutch fullback has reiterated his intention to leave the club as soon as possible. However, so far no concrete offer has arrived at Roma’s doorstep.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the player will attend today’s training at Trigoria. He will use this opportunity to confront General Manager Tiago Pinto and discuss his own future.
The Portuguese director does not wish to escalate the situation any further and will only consider parting ways with Karsdorp on a permanent basis.
As reported by the newspaper, Karsdorp is going to request to be excluded from Roma’s upcoming trip to Portugal as he does not wish to work with Jose Mourinho anymore. Similarly, Mourinho is not willing to collaborate with someone he perceives as lacking in motivation and drive.
Tiago Pinto has communicated to the player’s entourage that he will only let Karsdorp go on loan with obligation to buy in order to secure a sale at the end of the season.
His former side, Feyenoord, have reignited their interest in the 27-year-old.
