Rick Karsdorp is returning to the Netherlands just one day after he officially left Roma.
After mutually terminating his contract with the Giallorossi, the defender is on the verge of joining reigning Dutch champions PSV—scheduled to undergo his medical examinations with the club on Saturday morning.
The two sides reached a verbal agreement late Friday on a multi-year contract, marking his permanent return to the Eredivisie.
Karsdorp’s seven-year stint in the Italian capital ended Thursday after the club announced the two sides mutually agreed to split ways. He originally joined the Giallorossi in June 2017 on a five-year deal and cost nearly €20 million.
During his tenure, he collected 1 goals, 7 assists, and 157 total appearances.
