The situation around Rick Karsdorp is reportedly very tense as Roma and the player’s entourage seek to amend the relationship between the Dutch fullback and Giallorossi boss Jose Mourinho following the manager’s comments at full-time of Sassuolo-Roma.
The fullback is back to regularly training with the rest of the team, but it remains to be seen what the implications will be for his playing time.
According to Il Tempo, Karsdorp’s agent is set to meet with Roma’s management next week to seek further clarifications regarding Mourinho’s remarks and discuss the next steps going forward.
At the moment, a January exit is too complicated to envision: Karsdorp earns around €2.5 million and his contract expires in 2025.
