Il Corriere dello Sport: For Roma, an exchange is already set and will be ratified shortly: Paredes will leave, while Kessie will arrive. The clues had been scattered here and there by Spalletti in his press conference and have been confirmed by the parties involved.
Negotiations with Atalanta are closed in substance and only small details remain: Kessie will arrive at Roma on 1 July but on loan, the Giallorossi must pay the full fee by June 2018, which is when four Italian teams will qualify for the Champions League, strengthening revenue expectations of the bigger clubs. The overall price tag is not far from that of Gagliardini: nearly €25 million, but Atalanta will also receive the rights to a young Primavera player, most likely Riccardo Marchizza. Atalanta intend to keep Kessie until the end of the season, but Spalletti is excited about the player, who was also wanted by PSG and Chelsea.
In the immediate future, however, another young talent is close to leaving: Leandro Paredes between tomorrow and Tuesday will likely leave Roma. The agent of the player, Pablo Sabbag, was mandated to to seek an offer that can meet the financial needs of the club. As of last night, though, no concrete offer has arrived. Sabaag has heard from Juve but it’s more likely England is in his future with West Ham and Spurs being the most interested.
