Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae – who joined the Partenopei from Fenerbahçe earlier in the summer – has been linked with Roma recently prior to his decision to move to Naples.
According to Korean agent Ho Lee – who acted as an intermediary facilitating the deal between Kim and Napoli – the 25-year-old had several offers on the table before joining Napoli.
“Napoli weren’t the only ones after him. Inter, Juve, Tottenham, Roma and Rennes tried to sign him. Many of these clubs have had video meetings with him over the course of the summer,” Lee said in a video dedicated to Korean national team going into the World Cup.
“We wanted Kim to be able to play in a good team, at high levels, but also to have a certain continuity in terms of game time. That team was Napoli.”
