Kolarov: “I don’t know how you can restart the season in May and finish in June. I’m pessimistic”.

Roma left back Aleksandar Kolarov spoke today to Serbian outlet SportKlub about the current situation in Italy regarding the Coronavirus.

“Football is not a priority right now. And frankly, I don’t know how we can start again in May and end by 30th June. I hope we can, but I’m not optimistic,” said the defender.

“When the Prime Minister declared the state of emergency, they explained to us we could only leave to go to the market or the pharmacy. You can’t leave your home without a special certificate”.

He continued, “I would like to take the pitch as soon as possible, but we must reasonable. Taking into account the Europa League, we could be playing 17 or 18 games in two months. Physically we could probably handle it, but I don’t know how it can happen”.

“Although I’d like to play right away, I’m pessimistic”.
