After just four weeks on the job, former Roma fullback Aleksandar Kolarov is leaving his post as sporting director of Serie B side Pisa.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serbian was slated to be unveiled by the club and hold his first press conference last Thursday, however, it was announced they had to postpone due to “an unavoidable scheduling conflict.”
He was also expected to be in attendance for tomorrow’s presentation of new manager Alberto Aquilani–who he personally selected as the team’s new head coach.
However, Kolarov informed Pisa late last week he wouldn’t continue with the club: evidently there weren’t the right conditions to continue the relationship.
