The Giallorossi kept a clean sheet for the third match in a row against the Dutch ahead of next week’s return leg in the Italian capital.

“It was an especially tough match because of the poor condition of the pitch,” began Kumbulla to Roma TV. “We tried to play a bit more attacking at the beginning but the pitch kept causing us problems.”

“Nonetheless, we brought home a positive result. I believe it’s the third 1-0 result in a row for us—but this isn’t only because of us defenders.”

Adding, “It’s thanks to the defensive work of the entire team, including the midfield and attack. Everyone is working hard and it can be seen in the results.”

“I’m happy because I’m helping the team, which is all I want to do. We’re in a good run of form and I hope we’re able to continue like this. Now we must focus on Sunday against Udinese.”
