Kumbulla optimistic ahead of Conference League game

Marash Kumbulla gets to start in tonight’s game against Zorya Luhansk in the Ukraine. The Albanian defender was briefly interviewed by Sky Sport and shared his thoughts on the team’s mentality going into the match.

On whether he expected more playing time under Jose Mourinho:

“I didn’t expect anything, I’m always available to the team and the coach. Today is my chance and I’ll try to do well.”

On the team’s preparation for this game:

“We have prepared it in the best possible way, we will try to play as in the other games, trying to improve what we have done wrong.”

On the objective to win the competition:

“We try to keep going game by game. But surely the goal is to always win, so yes, we want to get to the end of this competition.”
