Kumbulla salutes Hellas Verona after officially joining Roma

Newly acquired Roma defender Marash Kumbulla took to his Instagram page to say goodbye to former side Hellas Verona.

The Albanian international joined his boyhood club in 2008 and made 25 senior appearances for the Gialloblu.

“I joined this club when I was just 8, accompanied by my dad. I spent 12 years in this home, which is more than half of my life,” started Kumbulla.

“You always experience the best moments in your home and I shared joys, tear, and dreams I’ve held since a child in this family. I have every moment of this life we shared together engrained in me”.

“Now the time has come, though, to realise one those huge dreams as I take the most important step of my career to date. I do this, in part, thanks to you and this fantastic club that has always supported me in everything”.

“Thanks to all of you and I hope to always make you proud of me”.
