Kumbulla set for first start after COVID layoff: “I feel good, Sassuolo is a great side.”

Roma defender Marash Kumbulla appeared on Roma TV before this afternoon’s showdown between the Giallorossi and Sassuolo.

The Italy-born, Albanian international will make his first appearance in nearly a month after he contracted COVID-19 earlier last month.

”I feel much better after training this week,” said the defender.

”I feel good now I’ve got a week of training under my legs — I’m glad I recovered this week.”

”As the manager said, the match against Napoli was just a stumble for us. We showed in the Europa League that we made a mistake and moved on.”

He concluded, “Sassuolo started proving last year that they’re a strong side. We’ll do everything we can to get a victory.”
