Kumbulla thankful for Mourinho’s trust after Roma’s win over Cagliari

Marash Kumbulla put in a very good performance in Roma’s 1-0 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico tonight. The Albanian international got the opportunity to start as a result of Smalling and Ibanez’s absences.

The 21-year-old defender was interviewed by the club’s official channels after the final whistle.

“I am happy. I had a difficult time recently,” said Kumbulla.

“It was difficult period for me personally as I did not play much and when I did play I struggled.”

He concluded, “But thanks to my teammates and the coach, who gave me so many tips, I have always given my best in training to be ready for the right moment to come along.”
