Kumbulla to lead the defense against Vitesse

Marash Kumbulla served his one-match ban in Roma’s most recent league fixture against Udinese alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Both players travelled with the team to Udine and watched from the stands.

Now, Il Tempo reports, the Albanian defender is ready to lead the Giallorossi’s defense once again and replace Gianluca Mancini (out with suspension) in the starting eleven.

The young centre-back’s recent string of impressive performances culminated in Roma-Atalanta where he was the primary candidate for a Man of the Match award.

Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan is expected to start alongside Jordan Veretout in the midfield. With Karsdorp and Zalewski slotting in on the left flank.
