Kumbulla to undergo scans tomorrow

John Solano

RomaPress – Marash Kumbulla returned to Rome this evening, three days after he suffered a knee injury while on national team duty.

The incident occurred on Thursday during the clash between Albania and Andorra. Even though he played for all ninety minutes, Kumbulla felt discomfort after the game.

“We’ll see what happens tomorrow at the scans, I’m not worried, though,” he said tonight to Corriere dello Sport.

“I played the entire match, but I felt something in the dressing room afterwards.”

Initially, there were fears that the defender suffered a torn meniscus, which could end his season. However, members of Kumbulla’s entourage labeled these reports as “premature.”
