Kuwaiti consortium pulls out of Roma talks

John Solano

RomaPress – The Kuwait-based consortium that recently requested access to Roma’s financial has officially pulled out of the race to acquire the club.

Confirmation has arrived directly from the consortium itself as well as the law firms representing Roma that the Kuwaiti group, led by Fahad Al Baker, have pulled out of negotiations to acquire the capital club.

Kuwaiti daily newspaper Al-Jarida claims that the group was given less than 24 hours to make a better offer than Dan Friedkin, who is now in prime position to acquire the club from James Pallotta.

The only concrete offer on the table remains that of Friedkin, who is waiting on Pallotta to formally accept.
