Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri: “We are proud to have finished above Roma.”

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri did not shy away from his satisfaction with the Biancocelesti’s end to the season.

The former Napoli coach spoke to the media following Lazio’s securing of fifth place in the league standings.

“Our fifth place is deserved,” said the Italin technician following his side’s 3-3 draw with Verona.

“We are proud to have finished ahead of a club like Roma, which has made investments of great importance and has one of the most important coaches in Europe.”
