Lazio closing in on Pedro

Maurizio Sarri is looking to strengthen his team by bringing in an experienced player. The said player is Roma’s very own Pedro who has been excluded by Mourinho from group training earlier in July.

According to Calciomercato.com, the 33-year-old Spaniard is Sarri’s main request for the wing.

The two have worked together at Chelsea back in 2018 and 2019 and the Italian coach considers Pedro a valuable addition to the team.

Lazio are reportedly closing in on the winger with Roma willing to let him go for free. The priority of the club is to get rid of Pedro’s high wages.

The player still has two years left on his contract with Roma, but the club have made it clear that he does not fit their plans going forward. Thus, after only one year with Roma, Pedro is looking to move to their derby rivals.
