Lazio finalize deal for Pedro

Pedro’s time at Roma was short-lived. After only one season and 40 appearances across all competitions with the Giallorossi, the 33-year-old Spaniard is set to join Roma’s arch-rivals.

Sky Sport report that the deal is almost done for Pedro, with Lazio closing in on Maurizio Sarri’s preferred choice for the wing.

The Spanish winger will join Lazio on a free. At first, Roma wanted to sell him abroad but due to the growth decree the capital club decided to find a suitable destination in Italy.

With Pedro’s wages off the books, Roma save almost €8 million gross for the two years left on his contract.

There are reportedly some bonuses included based on certain conditions related to number of appearances and team objectives.
