The President of Lazio, Claudio Lotito, was asked about Roma’s recent partnership with Saudi brand Riyadh Season.

In light of the approaching Expo 2030 nomination, Roma’s sponsorship with Riyadh Season caused quite a commotion on the political landscape within the Italian capital.

Lotito – Lazio’s President and Italian senator – responded to the Giallorossi’s controversial partnership with an initiative to back Rome’s candidacy for Expo 2030.

“I have the interest and protection of my city, the inhabitants of Rome and my country at heart. Others probably care more about economic factors. I don’t. I care about the people,” Lotito told TG1.

Moreover, Lotito proposed that Lazio wear the SPQR logo that Roma wore up until a few days ago.

“For the very fact that the municipal administration found nothing wrong against the other club, I don’t see why it should find anything against Lazio,” he said.
