Lazio President Claudio Lotito made some comments regarding his team’s transfer window compared to their city rivals.
In an interview with Adnkronos, Lotito responded to Roma’s recent decision of having Romelu Lukaku pose for a photo alongside the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, as part of the player’s presentation.
“I don’t wish to comment on it, I don’t want to spark any institutional controversy,” said Lotito who is also acting senator of the Forza Italia party. “As a member of the institutions I don’t think it’s wise to comment.”
“I think it’s better if we focus on the damage caused by Roma supporters standing on top of people’s cars during Lukaku’s arrival. Who will pay for the damage and for what took place? I paid €100 million for my team’s transfers this summer. And I never received any favors for it. Others didn’t buy a single player, only loans…”
