Lazio’s Adam Marusić: “Roma didn’t play that well. Their early goals changed everything.”

Lazio fullback Adam Marusić refused to give credit to Roma after his team lost to them 3-0 tonight in the Derby della Capitale.

The Montenegro international claimed the Biancocelesti had the wrong approach to tonight’s clash and they ultimately paid the price.

“I’m disappointed about the result tonight. Their goal in the first minute changed everything for them from a mental perspective,” he told Lazio Style Radio.

“We failed to match their aggressiveness and intensity and we paid the price with a heavy defeat. So I must apologise to the supporters but we’ll get back to work and give all we’ve got.”

He added, “Anyway, I don’t think Roma played a great game. We did all we could to come back in the second half but when you concede two goals so quickly it’s hard to get back into the match.”
