Ciro Immobile’s priority is to be present and at Maurizio Sarri’s disposal for the crucial Derby della Capitale showdown on 6 November at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to today’s edition of Il Messaggero, the initial prognosis that saw Immobile return in 2023 did not discourage the Italian striker from trying to accelerate his recovery over the past week.
Immobile is expected to undergo further tests this week to assess whether a return to the pitch for the upcoming derby would be possible in such a short period of time.
Immobile’s injury would usually require 40 days of rest and physiotherapy, but the 32-year-old is already looking to return to Sarri’s starting eleven after only two weeks.
