Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is engaged in a race against time as the Italian attacker accelerates his recovery ahead of the highly anticipated Derby della Capitale on Sunday.
Immobile’s initial prognosis entailed 40 days of rest and therapy, but after less than three weeks the player is already hoping to start for Maurizio Sarri on Sunday.
Earlier today, Immobile was seen going for a check-up at the Clinica Paideia to determine his status for the derby against Roma.
“Today I’m supposed to find out how I’m doing,” he told Tuttomercatoweb before entering the clinic. “I hope to be available for the derby,” he added.
