Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri was not pleased with his side dropping of the Europa League, and even less so with his qualification for this year’s Conference League.
The Italian technician protested the European competition in his post-match press conference ahead of the Derby della Capitale with Mourinho’s Roma on the weekend.
“If I was president Lotito I would refuse to play the Conference League after what we saw tonight,” he said, accusing the match official of making crucial mistakes in his side’s loss to Feyenoord.
“Tonight we’ve been treated very, very badly. The officiating team was awful. They went into a state of absolute confusion. In the action that led to Feyenoord’s goal I spotted two fouls against us,” he concluded while talking to Lazio Style Channel.
