Leandro Paredes is experiencing a personal renaissance after struggling for the majority of the first half of the season.
The Argentine midfielder – who joined Roma on a permanent deal in the summer, thus returning to the club that discovered him in the first place in 2014 – was visibly struggling under former Giallorossi head coach Jose Mourinho.
Paredes was initially asked to replicate what Nemanja Matic did last season, but his characteristics prevented him from ever being effective in a two-man midfield alongside Bryan Cristante.
With Daniele De Rossi in charge, Il Messaggero reports that Leandro Paredes is now much happier with his situation at the club.
In the last month, he’s become the ideal playmaker for De Rossi who is trying to make him the focal point of the midfield while pairing him up with the likes of Bryan Cristante and Edoardo Bove.
