Leandro Paredes – one of Roma’s latest signings along with Renato Sanches – discussed his return to the Italian capital.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sport less than two days before Roma’s first matchday with Salernitana, Paredes talked about his decision to return to the club that helped put him on the map.
“I’ve always had the thought of going back to Roma, when I found out they wanted me, I didn’t think twice about it. The sensations are difficult to explain. I have always been stayed close to Roma, and through the years I followed the team and talked to my family about the possibility of returning one day.”
“We are a very very good team, we have strong midfielders. I hope to make myself available immediately, feel physically well, because I didn’t have the opportunity to play games before coming here. But I’m ready to play on Sunday and I hope to do well,” he added.
“De Rossi? I often joked with Daniele, he used to tell me he wanted to become manager at Roma and that he would bring me back here.”
