Lecce manager Roberto D’Aversa expressed his regret with the way his team let Roma complete a comeback win.
The Italian technician sounded deflated after the match in his interview with DAZN.
“We were lucky in the first half because of the missed penalty,” said D’Aversa. “They did better in the first half, then we got into the game and took the lead.”
“The collapse? In Serie A you can’t distract yourself for a moment. There was the possibility of going 0-2, but we were also foolish not to fight when they equalized.”
“Tonight we are left with anger and disappointment. The performance was there, the last two minutes should be canceled but that’s not possible. We will work even harder.”
