Lecce manager Roberto D’Aversa spoke a few days prior to his side’s trip to Stadio Olimpico where they will face Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, D’Aversa declared, “What do you want me to tell you? Mourinho is a phenomenon.”

“Everything can be discussed with regards to him except two elements: the ability to achieve results and the ability to communicate,” he added. “For me it is an honor to be able to compete with him. It already happened to me with Sampdoria, now I can do it with Lecce.”

“All coaches want to win games. But there isn’t just one way to get to it. Guardiola wins and Mourinho wins. The important thing is to know how to adapt to the characteristics of the players at your disposal.”
