Lecce defender Marin Pongracic reflected on the recent 0-0 draw with Roma at the Stadio on Via del Mare.
In an interview with Trnews, Pongracic sounded regretful over the single point to show for a display that included Lecce taking 27 shots against Roma’s 10.
“We also played well in the first leg against Roma,” Pongracic said in reference to Roma’s 2-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico a few months ago. “It was a different team with a different coach but we also showed in other matches that we can play against anyone.”
“And with them we put in a great performance and created many opportunities. It’s a shame not to have scored and not to have taken the three points, but it is also important not to have conceded any goals.”
