Lecce director Pantaleo Corvino took the time to discuss Roma’s management in the form of Jose Mourinho and GM Tiago Pinto ahead of tonight’s showdown in Puglia.
“In addition to Mou, who we all know by now, I am especially drawn to Tiago Pinto,” Corvino said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“A general manager should be judged by what he finds when he arrives and by what he leaves when he says goodbye.”
“And that’s why I like Tiago Pinto for the way he worked in recent transfer windows: despite the Financial Fair Play, which he inherited when he joined Roma, last year Roma won the Conference and this season is fighting for second place.”
“I also appreciated the way he was able to attract and sign Paulo Dybala and ultimately handle Zaniolo’s exit.”
