Only four days away from the transfer deadline, Roma are yet to resolve the situation regarding out-of-favor midfielder Amadou Diawara who has been excluded from training with the first team ever since the end of last season.

The Guinean player famously rejected numerous offers from Italy and abroad due to his considerable wages. Diawara earns almost €2 million and is reluctant to agree to a move that would see him having to lower those earnings.

However, only a few days away from the end of this year’s transfer window, the 25-year-old could start considering incoming proposals.

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that newly promoted Serie A side Lecce have come forward as potential suitors. Lecce contacted Roma who already gave their approval. Now it is up to Diawara to OK the destination and find an agreement with the Salentini.
