Lecce interested in Eldor Shomurodov

Roma attacker Eldor Shomurodov may be on the move again after an unsuccessful loan spell at Lecce.

The Uzbeki international concluded his time with Spezia failing to impress in the final stretch of last season.

His playing days for Roma seem to be over as he does not fit Jose Mourinho’s plans going forward despite his contract with the club being valid until 2026.

Thus, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Shomurodov is among the players like Matias Vina, Bryan Reynolds and Gonzalo Villar for whom Roma are trying to find a suitable destination.

The Italian newspaper claims that most recently Lecce came forward and showed interest in Shomurodov.

The club from Salento would like to sign the ex-Genoa man on loan.
