Napoli have reportedly made an attempt to anticipate Roma’s interest in Morten Hjulmand by making an offer for the Lecce midfielder.
The latest report by calciomercato.com claims the Partenopei recently filed a €13 million bid for Hjulmand who is drawing interest from several top clubs including Roma, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham.
Lecce, however, promptly rejected the offer and await higher bids, upwards of €20 million.
Roma have held preliminary talks with the side from Puglia, wanting to sign Hjulmand in the summer as relations between the two clubs are excellent.
