Roma and Lecce have initiated talks for a transfer of Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand to the Italian capital this coming summer.
The Giallorossi have been closely monitoring Hjulmand’s progress in Serie A and the player’s impressive displays have convinced Roma’s management to pursue him in what looks to become a heated transfer window for the 23-year-old.
According to calciomercato.com, Lecce have revealed to Roma their desired fee for Hjulmand: Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino – who is on very good terms with Roma GM Tiago Pinto – wants at least €20 million.
The player is expected to receive offers from other clubs in Italy and abroad within the coming months. As a result, Roma are trying to get negotiations under way in order to finalize a deal by the end of the season.
