Lecce attacker and former Roma Primavera player Joel Voelkerling Persson was presented earlier today as Lecce’s new signing for the upcoming Serie A campaign.
The young attacker discussed his brief time training under the watchful eye of José Mourinho before getting Roma’s OK for the transfer meant to launch his senior career.
“It was wonderful to be able to train with the first team and Mourinho.”
“Training with him was an honour, a matter of great pride.”
“It was really nice to get to play with real champions like Tammy Abraham: difficult, but very nice.”
“Mourinho told me that I just have to keep working hard,” he concluded.
