Leeds United president Andrea Radrizzani recently revealed that his side made a late attempt in January to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma.
The deal would have involved another player Leeds were interested in swapping but Roma had filled out all spots for non-EU nationals.
“We tried to sign Zaniolo by setting up a swap deal, but Roma had already filled all roster spots for non-EU nationals,” Radrizzani told DAZN.
Ultimately, Zaniolo joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal earlier in the month.
