Leeds United director Victor Orta a candidate for Roma sporting director post

With Dan Friedkin set to officially acquire AS Roma in the coming days from James Pallotta, there will undoubtedly be a shakeup in management at the club.

The Giallorossi are in need of a sporting director and a host of names have been linked to the post, but a new one has emerged today via Sky Sport: Leeds United director Victor Orta.

The Spaniard formerly worked under ex-Roma sporting director Ramon Monchi at Sevilla and also has experience at Elche, Zenit and Middlesbrough.

Reportedly, Orta is in the running for the role along with Walter Sabatini, Daniele Pradè and a potential return for Gianluca Petrachi, who was sacked by Roma in July under soon-to-be former president James Pallotta.
