Leonardo Spinazzola has remained at Trigoria for the duration of this international break after failing to be called up by Italy.

After being excluded from Luciano Spalletti’s squad list, Spinazzola is now 100% focused on working with Jose Mourinho ahead of the match with Monza.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Spinazzola is fully aware of his poor start to the season marked by disappointing performances, far from the ones Roma fans grew to expect from the Italian fullback.

Spinazzola made no secrete of this underwhelming start in his conversations with Spalletti and Mourinho – both coaches reaffirmed their confidence in him, and urged the player to continue working on improving his form.

Thus, Spinazzola is still a key player for club and country.
