Leonardo Spinazzola decided to stay at Trigoria and continue to work on his condition after an average start to the new season.
The player was recently excluded by Roberto Mancini from Italy’s call-up list for their upcoming Nations League engagements.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the fullback was initially going to attend Italy’s training camp at Coverciano but, given a difficult return from injury, declined Mancini’s invitiation.
Spinazzola is said to have called the Italian technician a few days ago to address his concerns. Mancini gave him the green light to remain in the capital and continue to work with Jose Mourinho ahead of a crucial match with Inter on October 1st.
