Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola discussed the challenges awaiting the Giallorossi in the games with Bayer Leverkusen.

In an interview with Roma TV, Spinazzola outlined the preparations leading up to tonight’s first leg.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game, a game with lots of pace, in which we will have to be attentive to their qualities which is speed, because all their forwards are super fast and we must be really concentrated, we have worked hard and studied our opponents a lot for tonight,” he said.

“I think that despite all the difficulties we may have, we have always played, even against strong teams, in the best of times, we have always played on an equal footing. After that, it’s a pity that we drew games or lost games due to episodes, but everything is dictated by those and can happen anytime.”

“When you have a stadium like the Olimpico behind you, an audience like that that cheers you on from the first to the last minute… that feels truly like an extra man on the pitch, it gives you a great boost, great strength. Every match is always wonderful.”
