Leonardo Spinazzola recognizes mistake made in Inter loss

Italian fullback Leonardo Spinazzola previewed Roma’s upcoming Europa League semifinal with Bayer, recognizing his mistake vs Inter.

In today’s pre-match press conference, Spinazzola said of Leverkusen, “Tomorrow we face a great team. They are very fast and we have to be more focused when we have the ball. They have five or six players with lots of pace. It will be a great match.”

“I am feeling good. Obviously mistakes can happen. I can’t have the same level of consistency as a wing-back. It’s more complicated and depends on the intensity of the games. Mistakes can happen, the important thing is to recover from them.”

“The mistake with Inter? I wanted to attack and hurt the opponent but the opposite happened. I wanted to anticipate a possible pass. I’m sorry it happened, but they are mistakes from which it is important to recover.”

“My future? I don’t know what to say. All I’m thinking about is tomorrow’s game. It doesn’t make sense to talk about it now, we still have several important games ahead of us.”
