Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola was forced to abandon the pitch of the Stadio Olimpico early on in the first half of Roma’s win over Hellas Verona.
The Italian defender showed glimpses of his former self in the opening 28 minutes of the match.
However, that is how long Spinazzola lasted for the night as Roma were forced to replace him due to a muscle injury.
According to Il Tempo, unlike with Dybala – whose change at the 58th minute was for precaution – Roma are afraid Spinazzola may have suffered a more serious injury.
The player will be evaluated later today at Trigoria in order to establish a clearer timeline of recovery.
